A woman who vanished from Lancaster City has been found dead in the Susquehanna River, the Lancaster County Coroner’s Office confirmed on Tuesday, April 22.
April Wefler, 33, was last seen on Tuesday, April 15, and reported missing by her family four days later after she failed to report for work and could not be contacted. When relatives visited her home on South Queen Street, they found drawers and cabinets open, suggesting she left unexpectedly.

Husband, Wife Killed In Fatal Jackson Crash: Police
A 67-year-old man and his 61-year-old wife, both Toms River residents, were killed in a fatal car crash in Jackson Thursday, April 10, authorities said.
At 1:57 p.m., officers responded to 1192 Toms River Rd. for a two-car crash, Jackson Township police said. A Ford driven by a 24-year-old woman with a 4-year-old girl in the car drifted into the opposite lane, crashing into a Chevrolet, police said.
The 67-year-old man, who was in the Chevrolet, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. His wife was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital, police said.

Man Struck By Vehicle Remains Unidentified: Glassboro PD
An unidentified man was hit by a vehicle on Tuesday, April 8 in Glassboro, authorities said.
At 8:21 p.m., the man was walking south in the northbound lane of Delsea Drive when he was struck in front of Smash Bros., Glassboro police said. Officers could not locate any identification or a cell phone belonging to him, police said.
The man remains hospitalized and police are hoping to identify him to notify his family who may be looking for him, officers said.

Person Shot in Bridgeton, Airlifted To Hospital: Police
A 35-year-old man was shot in Bridgeton on Saturday, April 5, authorities said.
After midnight, officers responded to the Ivy Square complex off of Cottage Avenue and found the man siting in a chair, being tended to by others, after sustaining a gunshot wound to the torso, Bridgeton police said.
First responders rendered aid to the man before he was airlifted to Cooper University Hospital in Camden, where he has since been released, police said.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is continuing, police said.
Pedestrian Struck, Killed Crossing Colonie Street
A pedestrian was struck and killed while crossing a Capital Region street.
The incident happened in Colonie, on Loudon Road north of Troy-Schenectady Road, at around 5 a.m. Monday, April 7.
Arriving officers reported finding a car that struck a pedestrian, Colonie Police said.
Bystanders attempted life-saving measures, but the victim, Felipa Martinez-Garcia, 49, of Latham, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver, a 45-year-old Albany woman, remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators, police said.

Two people from Elizabeth, including an 8-year-old girl were killed in a crash on Route 295 in Burling County on the evening of Sunday, April 6.
At 10:17 p.m., a Hyundai Santa Fe and Hyundai Tucson were traveling northbound on Route 295 in Florence, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey Police said. The Santa Fe struck a guardrail, re-entered the roadway and collided with the Tucson, Lebron said. The impact caused both vehicles to run off the road and strike several trees, Lebron said.
