Bergen County mom of two Jennifer Jaimes nee Moretti died on Wednesday, Sept. 30. She was 37 years old.
Jaimes, of New Milford, was remembered in her obituary on the Basralian Funeral Home website for her love of tomatoes, the Yankees, Jets and her “Loonies.”

Shoplifter Runs Across Route 17, Into Brook After $2K Theft: Police
A shoplifter ran across Route 17 and into a brook after filling three rolling suitcases with more than $2,000 worth of stolen merchandise at a Paramus store, authorities said.
Maki J. Davis, 22, of Brooklyn, was arrested following the theft at Marshalls on Route 17 South around 11:32 a.m. Friday, Oct. 2, Paramus Police Chief Robert M. Guidetti said.
Store employees reported Davis was systematically concealing clothing inside a large rolling suitcase before repeating the process twice, ultimately filling three suitcases, police said.

Taconic Crackdown: Almost 400 Tickets Issued In 2 Days Across Hudson Valley
Nearly 400 tickets were issued during a two-day enforcement detail targeting commercial and other restricted vehicles on the Taconic State Parkway in four Hudson Valley counties, police said.
Troopers conducted the commercial vehicle enforcement detail on Wednesday, Sept. 30, and Thursday, Oct. 1, along the parkway in Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess, and Columbia counties, New York State Police announced on Friday, Oct. 2.

Two major drug traffickers on Long Island who made more than $2 million from their operation have been arrested, authorities said Thursday, Oct. 1.
Shamiek Porter, 34, and Branden Harris, 36, are both accused of being major narcotics distributors, according to court documents filed in Suffolk County.
Porter and Harris also have previous drug trafficking convictions and were on parole prior to their arrests on Wednesday, Sept. 16, according to state prison records and county prosecutors.

Naked Man Accused Of 'Lewd Conduct' At State Park In Dutchess County, Police Say
A man was arrested after police responding to a fight at a state park in Dutchess County found him naked and being physically restrained by another person, authorities said.
The incident happened at James Baird State Park in LaGrange on Thursday, Oct. 1, at around 2:50 p.m., New York State Police announced on Friday, Oct. 2.
When troopers arrived, they found an individual physically restraining a naked man later identified as Hyde Park resident Paul Roberts, 51, according to police.
