19-Year-Old Caught With Ghost Gun In Yorktown: Police
A 19-year-old from the Hudson Valley was jailed after he was caught with a ghost gun during a traffic stop in Northern Westchester, police said. The arrest resulted from an incident on Sunday, April 7 just after 2 a.m., when a Yorktown Police officer saw a vehicle traveling on Bargar Street with a missing headlight and pulled it over at 3700 Bargar St. near the Mobil gas station. Cop Injured With Chemical Agent As 100 People Block Hudson Valley Roadway
A police officer in the region was injured along with two others as police attempted to disperse a large crowd of more than 100 people who were blocking a roadway. The incident occurred in Dutchess County around 3:30 a.m., Sunday, April 7, on Church Street in the city of Poughkeepsie. Det. Lt. Terrence Beam of the Poughkeepsie Police said multiple agencies responded to help disperse the crowd near Cafe Maroon, which was blocking all three lanes of Church Street. Police are investigating after the body of a Black woman was found in a wooded area in the Hudson Valley. The woman's body was found in Rockland County on Wednesday, April 3, in the area of the baseball field on Dutch Lane in the village of Spring Valley.
