Pedestrian Struck, Killed By Vehicle In Parsippany, Prosecutor Says A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle on Route 46 in Parsippany on the evening of Thursday, June 6, authorities said. At 9:50 p.m., the pedestrian was struck near 1429 Route 46 by a 2015 Dodge Journey traveling eastbound, the Morris County Prosecutor's Office said.  The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said. The driver remained on scene, authorities said. The man who died has not been publicly identified. The crash remains under investigation, authorities said.

Lisa Moyer, a member of the board of education in Allamuchy Township, violated several sections of the school ethics board, after her child was suspended for harassment, intimidation and bullying in 2022, the School Ethics Commission ruled. The board recommended Moyer be reprimanded for her actions in a ruling released in April. State Of Emergency Declared In Jefferson Township Over Route 15 Closure Jefferson Township Mayor Eric Wilsusen announced he is declaring a state of emergency after an unsafe bridge near Route 15 had to be closed. Wilsusen, who issued his declaration on Thursday, June 6, said the state made the decision to close the bridge earlier this week over Rockaway River over safety concerns about the bridge's structural integrity.  The closure of the bridge led to Route 15 southbound near Cedar Terrace Road to be closed indefinitely. At 11:50 a.m., the man walked into Dunkin before getting angry, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said. The man knocked down an object before slamming a glass door, causing it to shatter, Fragé said.
