Conley, a combat veteran and former national security official, won the five-candidate Democratic primary on Tuesday, June 23, with 22,876 votes, or 48.87 percent, according to unofficial results from the New York State Board of Elections.

Connecticut and Massachusetts are among at least eight states that will not participate in the Great American State Fair, a centerpiece event in President Donald Trump's celebrations of America's 250th anniversary.
