Four Gunmen Killed Pedestrian In Philadelphia Ambush, Police Say Investigators are seeking four suspects in a deadly Philadelphia shooting on May 18.  Police said the victim was walking along the 5400 block of Baltimore Avenue around 10:45 p.m. when the gunmen hopped out of a car and ambushed him. Manhunt Underway For 'Armed And Dangerous' Suspect In Bensalem: Police Authorities are looking for an armed robbery suspect in Bensalem.  Police are in the Eddington section of the township searching for a suspect in connection with a Warminster theft, officials said Tuesday afternoon, May 28.  One other person is already in custody.  The suspect is considered armed and dangerous and Eddington residents should call 911 if they spot "anyone suspicious" in the neighborhood, police said.

Holiday Weekend Ends In 29 DUI Arrests In Lehigh Valley Area: State Police State troopers have released the results of their Memorial Day Holiday traffic enforcement initiative.  PSP's Troop M — which includes Bucks, Lehigh, and Northampton counties — said they made 29 DUI arrests between Friday, May 24 and Monday, May 27. That's down from the same holiday weekend in 2023 when troopers made 31 DUI arrests, according to the data.  Of the 45 total crashes Troop M responded to over the long weekend, two were said to be alcohol-related. Passenger Dies After Carbon County Wreck: Coroner A Lower Towamensing man died days after a car he was riding in crashed in Montour County.  Jason Reed was the passenger in a vehicle that wrecked on Ashtown Road in Mahoning Township on Friday, May 24, said the Lehigh County Coroner's Office.  He was taken to University Hospital in Bethlehem where he died from complications of multiple traumatic injuries on Tuesday morning, officials said. His manner of death was accidental.  Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the crash, the Coroner's Office added.

Power Outage Closes Elementary School In Allentown Allentown's Ramos Elementary School is closed on Tuesday, May 28 due to a power outage, district officials say.  Jackson Early Childhood Center is also closed for the day, administrators said. No other Allentown schools are affected by the outage.  According to the PPL outage map, the issue was caused by a tripped breaker or blown fuse. Crews have been dispatched to make repairs and PPL said they hope to restore power by 3:30 p.m.

Bus Hits Pedestrian In North Philadelphia: SEPTA One person was hospitalized after being struck by a bus in Philadelphia's Hunting Park on Monday night, May 27.  SEPTA said it happened near the corner of 13th Street and Erie Avenue around 9 p.m. The pedestrian was hit by the left side mirror of a Route 56 bus, according to transit officials.  "The pedestrian was taken to the hospital in critical condition, however, the injuries are reported to be non-life threatening," a spokesperson said.  No one on the bus was injured, they added.
