Firefighters pushed through the front door of an Oakland home with zero visibility as heavy flames tore through the back of the house at approximately 12 a.m. on Monday, Aug 17.
Firefighters were dispatched to the Oakand Avenue home and arrived to find heavy fire coming from the rear of the home, the department said.

A Teaneck High School teacher whose impact was felt by students, staff, and families has died at 47, school officials said.
Gorki Marcelo died on Thursday, Aug. 13, according to Teaneck Public Schools and Alvarez Funeraria. He was born on Nov. 27, 1978, in the Dominican Republic, according to the funeral home. A cause of death was not made public.

A Tesla crashed through a garage and into the kitchen of a South Brunswick home on Friday, Aug. 14, authorities said.
South Brunswick police and EMS, along with the Monmouth Junction and Kingston fire departments, responded to the Pheasant Run home at 11:01 a.m., police said.
