Police ID 11-Year-Old Boy, Woman Killed In Philadelphia Airborne SUV Crash
A speeding SUV hit several poles and went airborne before landing on two cars early Saturday morning in Philadelphia, killing a woman and a boy, and leaving several others seriously hurt, police said.
Amber Shanta, 34, and Tai'rhey Brown, 11, were pronounced dead at the scene on the 4300 block of Roosevelt Boulevard just before 12:30 a.m., Philadelphia police said.
The driver, a 57-year-old male, and two other passengers including a 15-year-old boy and 12-year-old girl, were rushed to various hospitals, and were listed in critical condition as of Saturday evening, authorities said.

Two young Pennsylvania girls were kidnapped at gunpoint on Tuesday, according to state police.
Robert Vicosa, aka Robert Brown, took a woman captive at gunpoint and then stole her vehicle at a home in Windsor Township on Tuesday, as Daily Voice previously reported.
He proceeded to flee the scene with his daughters Giana, 7, and Aaminah, 6, according to police in a press conference on Wednesday.

3 NY Men Caught In The Act Of Kidnapping By Bayonne Police, Authorities Say
Three New York men tried to kidnap a man on Wednesday morning, according to police.
Angel Aristy, 23, Pedro Castillo, 19, and Rafael Vargas, 19, all of the Bronx, NY, have been charged after a stabbing and attempted kidnapping, Bayonne Capt. Eric Amato said in a statement.
The men parked their black Audi at the corner of West 21st Street and Avenue A and began dragging a 30-year-old man to the rear passenger door of the car when they were spotted by a patrol officers.
