Deputies in Virginia say a convicted felon was driving through Spotsylvania County with multiple narcotics, a firearm, and two young children inside his SUV before a routine traffic stop brought everything to a halt.
William Maynard, 35, of Louisa, was arrested late on Sunday, June 28, by members of the Spotsylvania Sheriff's Office after he was spotted driving with a suspended license in the 10100 block of Patriot Highway.
Maynard couldn't legally drive away. And no one else in the vehicle could either.

A New York woman and Chinese national has been federally indicted after prosecutors accused her of running an alleged sex trafficking operation out of residential brothels in the Boston area.
Zengzeng Liu, 40, of Flushing, New York, also known as "Bella," is accused of managing an international operation beginning no later than August 2025. An 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of an aspiring teen electrician.
Bristow native Jamal Dana Allen has been charged for his alleged role in the murder of Michael Sakyi Jr., 18, who was shot and killed in a targeted shooting in Manassas, the Prince William County Police Department announced on Thursday, July 2.
Sakyi, a Bristow resident, was shot while behind the wheel of his vehicle shortly after 8:45 p.m. on Thursday, June 25, in the 7900 block of Community Drive in Manassas, according to Prince William County police.

Mom Kidnapped, Killed While Delivering Mail On Route: Investigators
A US Postal Service mail carrier and mother of two was kidnapped and killed while delivering mail just months after her husband's death, authorities said.
Brandi Reynolds, 35, was found dead at about 4:16 p.m. on Friday, June 26, the US Postal Inspection Service said in a news release. Her body was discovered in Hays, North Carolina, about 90 minutes west of Greensboro.
William Durham, 56, was arrested in connection with Reynolds' death. He was charged with first-degree murder and first-degree kidnapping, NBC News reported.
