Cross River's Jeffrey Tambor Gets 2017 Emmy Nod For Amazon's 'Transparent'
WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- The 2017 Emmy nominations are out and once again, Westchester's own Jeffrey Tambor is on the list.
Tambor, who's won in the past for his role in Amazon's "Transparent," was selected again. The Cross River resident, selected as "Best Actor in a Comedy Series," is up against Anthony Anderson of "Black-ish," Aziz Ansari, of "Master of None," Zach Galifianakis of "Baskets," Donald Glover of "Atlanta," and William H. Macy of "Shameless."

Community Rallies Around Brewster Family To Aid Young Stroke Victim
BREWSTER, N.Y. -- A GoFundMe campaign has been launched for a Brewster family facing a medical challenge involving a young boy.
The campaign was started by Holly Myslim-Cipriani for her son, Joey, who suffered a stroke.
Joey was rushed to Putnam Hospital on March 26, unable to breathe. He was later sent to Westchester Medical Center and had double pneumonia, sepsis, flu, and Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome, Myslim-Cipriani said.

Folk-rock singer-songwriter and guitarist, Dan Zlotnick will release his upcoming album, Bumpers, at The Burger Barn on Sunday, June 11 with a release party.

Zlotnick, a Somers resident -- and former independent league professional baseball player -- recorded Bumpers at The Loft Recording Studios in Bronxville and PREP Sound Studios in Queens with the help of local talent James Marchionno (drums), Al Hemberger (bass), Patricia Santos (cello), Simon O’Keefe (piano), and Ron Stenz (organ).
